Thank you. Got another question, do you have flickering and shimmering issues because I have it and it's bugging me so much. From the fencing to the track line, it flickers. Any solution?
 
Cannot get Paul Tracy car engine sound to hear it. What needs to be edited so that I have the engine sound? Or is there a fix.
Most likely in the .veh file for Paul Tracey. Found in the game days/vehicles/whatever this mod is called folder (cart???), Find the penske team in there, find the Paul Tracey .veh file and open it as a a text file, see what SFXfile it is looking for, open and compare it to the other penske drivers and whatever .sfx sound file they use copy and paste it across into that .veh file
 
It's the alpha layer in the texture file. The easy fix is to copy the alpha channel from a 1998 car to the 1999 car. I just tried it with 1 of the 2 Penske cars so you can see. Easy fix.

I can't find the texture file nor the alpha layer. Can you give me in depth, step by step, on how to do this? Sorry for noob question...

Hey Dan, any update on how to do that process. I don't see a texture file in both folders. Totally lost right now and I really want to get rid of that shiny livery.
 
Texture files = DDS files.
They are located in the team folders:
Example: \GameData\Vehicles\CART_Extreme\1999\Penske\Team Penske

Open/edit DDS files with Adobe Photoshop

Select only the alpha layer

I simple copied the alpha layers from the 98 mod to the 99 mod to correct that terrible glare. ;)
 
So on the '99 image, do I just select this new alpha channel in the 'Layers/Channels' menu and paste (control+v) the alpha channel? Also, where do you find that basic layer so I can do this with every CART '99 texture file cars?
