Changing locations

I have tried to move the Gamedata\Locations folder to my C:\ drive as it is a SSD and I thought the tracks would load more quickly. I have changed the config.ini file to point to the new directory, everything seems to work fine then I realised that none of the original GSC tracks showed in the tracks menu (converted tracks show up just fine).
Does anyone know if they are 'hardwired'?

Symbolic links / junctions might be the best solution in this case.

I have placed some game folders on my SSD but they are still "in" the Steam directory since back then there was no way to install games outside the Steam directory. Anyway, this should work for you as well.

Long story short:

1) Place track folder on your SSD (the whole thing)
2) Create a link that points to your SSD within the GSC2012 folder
3) ???
4) Profit!

Hi Tom, thanks for the reply, think I must have had my brain removed, I use junction link magic on GTR2!!
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
Hi Joe, short on space, the SSD is only 120gb and I already store the tracks for rfactor and GTR2 on there, thanks for the reply.
