Content Manager "install as a mod as well"

I downloaded a mod pack of cars, and after download, I am seeing this option, wondering what is it for/if I wanna use it and if not when would I wanna use it?

[Mascot]

It adds the car to the Mods page so you can activate/deactivate it like any other mod. It's totally pointless for cars and just fills the mods page unnecessarily.
