Did a clean install of Nvidia drivers and it works now

Are you running an overclock? Had me some ctd's too, thought my oc was stable but after clocking the cpu and ram back slightly I haven't experienced a single ctd. Also, an fps limit might help

No overclocking at all. Uninstalled it will download again.

Didn't help with fresh install, and I cant post on Kunos forum the worst forum everything is locked.
I have contacted the support several times no help at all...

This morning I finally managed to get access to the forum and boy I was not the only one with this problem.
They have no solution for it still..

You make it sound as though many people had this problem but there were actually only about 4. A 5th person who had a similar crash traced it to his antivirus: https://www.assettocorsa.net/forum/...ing-at-startup-every-time.59498/#post-1083090

Yeah I get a CTD from time to time and also non responsive menus too.
Just have to be patient, they will sort it.

Hmm, never had any CTDs with my setup and ACC. GTX1070 and always newest Nvidia drivers.

It's a shame that you can't get it to run but most can, so is that more likely to be a problem with the game or your system/setup?

I did a fresh install and added all files to the antivirus program and now everything works fine!

I really believe that's the main reason for those who can't run ACC ( when all necessary drivers are uptodate and the PC config isn't really much too low ).
There are +- 6 or 7 antivirus softwares ( always the same ones ) deleting or quarantining important files and this is happening regularly at each update ..... due to false detections with the heuristic analysis.

I had this problem for a while with Automobilista, RF2 and even Fanaleds ... using Norton ... but even with adding all files to the software ... a new update with a new game exe made the problem reappear.
Classic problem with Norton, McAfee, Avast, Kasperski, Bitdefender and ??? and I really think it doesn't appear with the other ones simply because they don't have any heuristic analysis.

This, I recently had issues with ACC crashing at launch. It was Bitdefender that had blocked changes to the file system.
I added the auto exclusion to accept list, and it fixed the issue.
Obviously a false positive that was blocked though your AV
