Curious Question being able to delete duplicate messages in the news or forums

Hello, This is just a curious question. Couple times I have accidently posted duplicate messages and could not find a way to delete my 2nd message. Is there a way to delete mistakes like this in the forums or News area? Would save me time entering in duplicate message, please ignore on my 2nd message. take care.
