DIY Simucube wireless button box

The project was started 2 weeks ago before any of commercial one were in stock. Total cost around 260 Euro. Based around the Porsche GT3 button plate. Took a lot of time to do the 3D design in Fusion 360, quite a few revisions before this final design. The wheel and shifter are Fanatec parts. Controller is the Simucube BLE module. Weight a lot less then most of the popular button box.

Edited: the material cost do not included the steering wheel and the wheel side quick release!

Hi ThomasTML,

Do you have a Build log anywhere, Materials and Buttons used etc?

Was the Simucube BLE module Easy to Program?

There are still some minor adjustment I would like to fixed. I will upload the 3D file to Thingiverse after that. The build was actually very straightforward.

There is no easy way to program the BLE module. But the factory preset work fine for a simple layout like this.

To make life simple, all wires were soldered directly to the BLE module. Its turn out fairy easy due to the design of the module and the small number of wires that needed to be soldered!

Looks great! By the way, your Thingiverse page doesn’t include the actual front panel plate. Was it ordered or something?
