A brand new patch for F1 2018 is here, releasing earlier today via Steam with Xbox One and PlayStation 4 set to follow very soon...

Codemasters are doing a rather impressive job of maintaining the development upkeep of F1 2018, the latest officially licenced Formula One racing game from the British studio, today deploying another fix for the popular title that address some of the key remaining bugs lurking within the game.

Initially releasing for just the PC platform earlier today, it is expected the latest build 1.10 will be pushed for both Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in the next few days, although an exact release date is still to be confirmed by Codemasters.

Of the key highlights from the new build, Codemasters have confirmed a useful fix to address the issue of safety car AI behaviour has been included, rectifying an issue that would often cause computer controlled cars to overtake the player under certain conditions when behind the Safety Car in single player race conditions.

You can check out the full change log details below:

Update 1.10 Change Log:
  • Players will no longer be incorrectly overtaken under the Safety Car when they have high engine or gearbox wear.
  • Fixed an issue that caused AI drivers with a puncture to not pit.
  • Numerous improvements to the Interviews with Claire.
  • Co commentator commentary should now always play correctly.
  • Fixed an issue with the track rubbering in and marbles not working.
  • Players will no longer be able to select reverse gear while driving forwards.
  • Updated the Power Unit & Gearbox Management tutorial audio in German to correctly reflect the 2018 rules.
  • Fixed players occasionally getting stuck waiting for players in Multiplayer when loading in to OSQ.

Not got the game yet? Why not check out our early review of the title below, and see if that can help sway your decision!

Brilliant review.
Interesting from the first to the last minutes.
I may purchase this game after your review.
I used to be an absolut formula one fan in the past (80-90s), not anymore for various reasons, but the all features in this replay is amazing.
I personally don't care if the physics is not 100%. I will never drive a real formula one.
But I like the colors, the details, the living crowd, etc...Fantastic job on the screen
All is present to have an entertaining time, and this is what we need with a game .
I know that for people it is not the case, but for me simracing and simulation must remain a game. I mean, it must remain just fun part of life in parallel to the real life.

Just a question.
Can we save at every moment in the game, or at least after each sessions during a race week end ?
(I don't have the time to make the all in one . Big problem with assetto corsa for example)

Jeez this F1 simulator just gets better and better. I am a few races in to my career now and to be honest, not seen a single bug yet. The whole package is just very good and far surpasses any other race simulator since Grand Prix 4 for atmosphere and detail. It's incredible.

Yes you can save the game during sessions and between sessions too!

So you've not seen the bug I was on about? Hmmmm..might have to fire it back up... Pissed me off that bottas did a 57 second lap at adelaide lol

I can't remember without firing it up but can you do a season without having to do all the practice targets and all that? Like emptybox said in that review he's tired of it already like I was. I just want to quali and race tbh.

If you just do a championship season and not career, you don't have to worry about car development. You can skip them in the career, but you'll slip down the grid without the R&D points from the sessions.

Yep i've seen this bug, i think it happens when u accelerate the time or skip the time your team takes to repair your car when in the pits..

That explains it then. I never accelerate the time. I like to do all the full sessions in real time. That's what I like about these proper race simulators, they simulate the lot.
