F1 2019 has a brand new trailer! If that wasn't enough, Codemasters have also revealed the full list of historic car content available for the title.

With the latest Formula One game from Codemasters set to release some two months earlier than usual - right in time for the Austrian Grand Prix, fans are understandably eager to find out as much as possible about what the title has in store for us this June 28th - and Codemasters have been kind enough to oblige with a brand new trailer and historic content reveal.

“Every year we make great strides so the game is as authentic and immersive as possible and we have surpassed expectations with the quality of the visuals in F1 2019,” said Lee Mather, F1 Game Director at Codemasters. “We also know from fan feedback the classic cars our community want to race and we hope the returning roster, alongside the new vehicles from the Legends and Anniversary editions, will give them the choices they crave.”
F1 2019 Historic Car Content
  • 2010 Red Bull RB6
  • 2009 Brawn BGP 001
  • 2008 McLaren MP4 –23
  • 2007 Ferrari F2007
  • 2006 Renault R26
  • 2004 Ferrari F2004
  • 2003 Williams FW25
  • 1998 McLaren MP4-13
  • 1996 Williams FW18
  • 1992 Williams FW14
  • 1991 McLaren MP4/6
  • 1988 McLaren MP4/4
  • 1982 McLaren MP4/1B
  • 1979 Ferrari 312 T4
  • 1978 Lotus 79
  • 1976 Ferrari 312 T2
  • 1976 McLaren M23D
  • 1972 Lotus 72D
  • 1990 Ferrari F1-90 - Legends Edition Content
  • 1990 McLaren MP4/5B - Legends Edition Content
  • 2010 Ferrari F10 - Legends Edition Content
  • 2010 McLaren MP4-25 - Legends Edition Content
  • 2010 Ferrari F10 - Anniversary Edition Content
  • 2010 McLaren MP4-25 Anniversary Edition Content

As can be seen in the above list, Codemasters certainly have plenty of the history of the sport covered with their classic content list, however I must admit I'm a little bit disappointed about the quantity of recycled content from the previous game. At the premium price tag F1 2019 is sure to attract, I would personally have liked to see a little more "new" old content brought in with this release.

Saying that, don't forget that F1 2019 will have something brand new for this year - the inclusion of F2 for the very first time, both playable in truncated form in career mode, and full seasons in the single player championship mode.

Although we haven't got a date just yet, stay tuned to RaceDepartment in the next couple of weeks as we are planning a little trip down to Codemasters new studio to get our hands on the new game and speak with the developers directly - so if you have anything you want me to ask, drop a line in the comments section below and I'll try and fit it into the conversation!

I also would like to add this list of classic tracks that will be included in the game:
.....
.....
Oh yeah...there aren't any. Isn't that what people asked for, though? I don't see the point in driving a Lotus 72D if we can't drive SOME of the 1972 season. Monaco and Monza are the only tracks from 1972 that will be in this game, and not even in the same configuration.

Well, I just can't wait to get going! Am I odd that it's the classic cars that interest me the most?
I also absolutely agree, there should have been classic circuits...ALL of them!
It can't be that hard for the OFFICIAL F1 game to get the licenses to use the tracks?!?!?

Funny how time changes ones perspective. I remember when I thought the shark fin was ugliest thing since the six wheeled Tyrell.

Omg, there's such a huge hole between '79 and '88 seasons, only one car - 1982 McLaren MP4/1B !?! Such a wonderful F1 period, damn. I just love cars from about '84 till '87. Maybe next year. Then VR in 2021.

Since the development of F1 2019, i still haven't seen the sponsor "Mission Win Now" on the SF90, do you think there's a chance that he'll add in the coming weeks before the release of the official game?

Codies make some great trailers don't they? I am still on the fence with this years F1. I was watching some Youtube videos from Tiametmarduk and to me it looks nothing like that first Bahrain video he showed.
Something is not right and smells....lol

I don't expect it to be added as the Mission Winnow is a program by Philip Morris w/c is a tobacco company. I wish they put the 90th anniv logo instead, since they use it in Australia.

Paul please ask —-why they decided not to support Vr for the last 4 years—- is it down to money/sales , or are there issues they cannot solve .
Thanks .
it think they just dont want to go down that road and have people say that other games in VR look better then theirs and then have to put in the work . so they just tweak the graphics upgrade the liveries add some cars and call it a day .
