Fanatec CSR pedals failure, ideas?

David O'Reilly

A bad quali means I can go forwards in the race.
Hi,
My trusty plain CSR pedals with modded brake have after 4 years failed.
They are a cheap pedal set but once I added the basher board circuit board to replace the poor quality original and later put some RC shock absorbers on the brake I have loved them.

But 4 years and by rough calcs* about 1.2 million brake pedal applications the brake sender unit has gone to lunch. Sadly it happened 1 lap b4 my stint ended in a 12 hour race but thats another story.

Has anyone ever replaced the sender/plunger/sensor in one?

*10 hours a week. say 400 laps x 15 corners.= 6000 per week X 52 X 4= 1,248,000

OK update.
Today was a good day. I stripped down my pedal set and found the issue (solder had worked loose and one of three tiny wires that run from the brake potentiometer was loose).
Bought a soldering iron and fixed it.
Having to fix a real world bit of equipment in a bizarre way just makes the sim thing feel more real.
Beats spending €100 on a new pedal set.

Such a tiny item ruining a 12 hour race with 6 hours to go. The sim equivalent of the 50 cent hose clip ruining Le Mans.
