The package must be signed for.

I don't think the warranty is transferable. Not according to Fanatec's own website. FANATEC CONSUMER GUARANTEE
"The guarantee is bound to the person of the first buyer (hereinafter: warrantee) and is not transferable."

I think they have to! They did with mine after a bit of a fight you need the original invoice serial number will not do.

I sold a podium base and warranty was transferable. I have an email from Fanatec saying so.

Yes it is if you give the person you sell the item to the invoice he can create a new Fanateccustomer account and with the invoice manually register the product.
