It's the thing that covers the vents on top of the helmets that are made by schuberth. You can sort of see it here: http://www.schuberth.com/en/motor-racing/the-helmet.html (and better in the 360 degree view of the helmet on that site). All the drivers with schuberth helmets have 'em.
