F1 2016 FFB for gear changes using a controller

Greetings everyone I hope you're having a good day/night!

In previous F1 games I was able to turn ffb on for gear shifts in the ffb settings file xml (last game being F1 2013). Is there a way I'm able to do this again as its quite dull when changing gears as it stands aka no ffb.

I've looked deeper but cant even seem to find the ffb xml. I'm guessing they have hard coded it as to make the ffb strength no longer changeable.
