Its actually the tea tray, he is serving Hamilton tea and biscuits just as McLaren's equal driver status policy dictates, and I quote:

"Article 3 Sub-section 4 ammendment 324.b

Every driver emplyed by McLaren shall be deemed to have equal status. This equal status applies in the eyes of the media alone and shall not be enforced by the team. Any driver not called Lewis Hamilton shall be employed to serve Lewis Hamilton tea and biscuits at his request. This request may be made at any time of day or night and can extend to race periods should Lewis Hamilton decide he is ready for refreshment. Should such a situation occur during a race the driver is advised to allow Lewis Hamilton to pass and then return to the pits to prepare the tea."

It goes on to talk about cutting the crusts off his cucumber sandwiches but it all gets a bit complicated in the legal talk so I cut that bit out.
