First Sight of New Assetto Corsa Cars Coming 2017

Kunos Simulazioni, via Licencing Manager Marco Massarutto, have revealed several exciting renders showing off several new cars to be added to Assetto Corsa in the next year.

With several exciting licences due to deliver a raft of new cars to Assetto Corsa during 2017, Marco Massarutto has taken to Facebook to show off a range of renders from the work in progress machines.

With some cars such as the Audi Quattro and Mazda 787B already well known and anticipated by fans of the sim, it is perhaps the more surprising early sight of the legendary Toyota and Audi LPM 1 machines plus the iconic Toyota Celica World Rally Championship car that will draw most attention from the recent post by Massarutto. All the renders revealed on Facebook show the usual Assetto Corsa attention to detail, and each machine should make an incredible addition to the simulation.

At this stage no release date is known for any of the content show with the exception of the 2017 Porsche 911 RSR, with should be included as a free item for owners of the third Porsche DLC instalment some time during February.

The cars revealed so far include:

Mazda 787B
Toyota TS040 Hybrid
Audi R18 eTron
Porsche 991 GT3 RSR
Audi R8 LMS
Audi Quattro Group B car
Audi Sport TT RS
Mazda Miata
Lotus 3-11
Toyota Celica WRC

With this unexpected reveal from Massarutto it looks like fans of Assetto Corsa have plenty to look forward to in the coming months.

Assetto Corsa is a racing simulation available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC. Additional DLC can be downloaded across all platforms adding a variety of additional cars and tracks.

the 911rsr is a bonus for the porsche pack 3 owners

Here's hoping they tweak the AI to handle multi class racing with these cars coming out. Still, Quattro Group B? Sold.

By the amount of LMP cars that Kunos has launched and still to launch, should seriously consider scanning La Sarthe, it becomes a sin as many LMP cars and not having Lemans

Its a shame that the LMP1 cars which come arent from the same year like the Porsche LMP1 :/
Still looking forward to it as its always nice to hear that new content is coming

We also have the 2015 Porsche 919 LMP, Toyota should be same , as should be the Audi, give or take some ballast.

All good and well with AC being my sim of choice and 6 out of the 10 cars are on my list of must haves, leaving me quite excited, but all these lovely prototypes and no Le Mans

. Kunos confirmed during the course of last year that they will not be bringing Circuit de la Sarthe to AC even though we have been requesting it like crazy. WTF... Lets hope that the new owners persuade them differently...

Nice, looking forward to the GTO and the Miata, looks like they've purchased some mods and release them officially.
The Toyota Celica looks so wrong... what's with the proportions (apart from that awful camera angle)? seems like it has the same problems as the AE86 model, they need to hire someone else to model their Toyotas...!

Passive aggressive user requests do not pay for licence fees. Polite ones do not either.

@Paul Jeffrey: the Porsche is just 911 RSR, no GT3 in the name.

Oh, so the Cayman GT4 Clubsport could be getting a play date?

Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport = 385 bhp
Audi Sport TT RS = 380 bhp

Edit: Na, the Audi seems to be 200kg lighter

AC also had the first laser-scanned Nordschleife, yet it's got no driver swaps. >>> Get used to it.
