Hi everyone,

I'm starting to do events for GT5 and I'm struggling for ideas on what would get the community on GT5. Are there any suggestions?

Silverstone should be in ALL racing games!!!!! It's such an iconic race track!

I've not been 'round' it myself but I've been 'to' it so many times my wife calls it 'The Mothership' lol

Ha, nice if silverstone is the mothership what's the nurburgring then???

It might of taken a while with the servers but it's there, the saying "slow and steady" has worked this time..

I'd like that, but not at Indy. An endurance race is good but not going around a circle/oval for a lot of time

Already used Nordschleife for an event

One event doesn't make it regular, and it isn't a reason not to use it again. Given the relatively low number of tracks, using the best ones regularly is a requirement.

I wasn't meaning it shouldn't be used again. I just meant is has been used and a follow up to that:

Nordschleife may not be the best track for an Endurance Race with Prototypes and GT Cars for example.

Just a quick thought I know in some events.. especially in the "higher HP" races there are huge gaps between places... How would be interested in "boost"?

I prefer the idea of evenly matched cars and no boost. Ideally we need more people - I am starting to think about the trying public lobby for some more online action but fear the idiots / being an unwelcome guest.

On another topic - lessons learnt from wet race theother day.....

I think qualy started in the rain with about 3% wet. I put on wet tyres and burnt them out before the end of the out-lap and couldn't even register a time.
I started the race on inters and as the moisture increased switched to wet as the track was >30%.
What are peoples verdicts on the correct tyre choice for wet conditions? that was my first attempt, so it was a bit random.

in qualy i used soft tires and they were fine. At the race i started on hards, at the end of first lap i pitted and changed to intermediates and i stayed with them until i got disconected, i was thinking about taking them until the end of the race, since it was just 4 laps away
