Have access to the T300 base buttons?

I'm installing a dished steering wheel on my T300 and I will remove the controls plate of my alcantara wheel and use a separate button box on the side instead, which will have its own usb controller. However, there's one control that I'd like to keep on my wheel: the horn button, just because my new wheel has a big horn button on its centre and it woild be cool to have it functioning. I don't want to take a cable from the button box to the steering wheel, which would be the easiest solution. The only option left is to use one of the remaining controls on the base: the buttons on the bottom right corner. Any other idea? Would be easy to disassemble the base to have access to those buttons and guide a cable to the horn of my wheel? Would also be possible to use the small connector on the central thread (the one that is plugged into the button plate) so as to map one input somehow?
