At some point, if there is interest and I don't get too lazy, I'll throw together some plans and a parts list. Its about $230 worth of 8020 stuff, some nuts and bolts, a few 2'x2' sheets of MDF, and about $70 worth of expandable foam. Total was probably about $400-ish.

For anyone interested in molding their own F1 seat, here are some pics showing the basic progression. Its more comfortable than the best universal racing seat money can buy.
