How do you install skins?

I tried searching first....and yes, I'm new here...:confused2:

I hate to ask such a moronic question, but simply, how do you install skins? I'm using the online version. I downloaded a skin pack for the F3000, and have no idea where to put the folders/files so it will work in game. :embarrassed: I dumped all the folders (which contained a bunch of files) into the custom skins folder C:\...\steam\...race07\...custom skins but no luck.

Thanks a lot Bart! Worked perfect. One side question...Now that I have these awesome skins, how do I setup races so that I race against them exclusively, and do NOT use any of the default cars?
