how to go back to the base game only?

Hello- I bought the base game, and all the dream packs in a Steam sale. For a few months I played the base game only, and then one day I installed one of the Dream Packs. That changed the cars I can use, and the tracks also. I'm not happy with the change, but I don't know how to change back to the base game only. I recall having to click a red button in Content Manager for the Dream Pack, it was to the left of whatever button was for the base game. I don't recall what Content Manager screen I was on when I did this. but I want to go back to the base game, where I had more tracks and more cars, like the Nordschleif, and the Toyota AE84 tuned. I've looked all over Content Manager for that button or some choice to go back to the original game I bought- no luck.
How do I do this?
I tried unchecking the box in the DLC list where I'd clicked the Dream Pack to install, but that didn't work. I tried uninstalling.reinstalling the whole game, but no luck.
Any suggestions?

Sounds like you have some sort of filter enabled in Content Manager, cause normally the base game and any DLCs will show you all their combined content as options.

The Nords wasnt in the base game, this track is included in the first dream pack. But as Stereo wrote, for sure you have some filtering in CM active. You can simply check by using the vanilla launcher instead of CM.

Thanks for the responses, guys- I'm still looking at what filters I may have on. I'll let you know how it goes.

I thought I might be onto something when I tried to change cars, and in the filters list in that box, I clicked on DLCS, and up popped a square red box labelled "Original game". It was the only such box to appear, but it was just like the two boxes that appeared when I first tried to install a Dream pack.
Clicking on that box didn't change anything, though. I'll keep searching...

Might be a font issue then? When you pick one of the category types it highlights in red the one the current car is from, eg. the Escort RS1600 is in Dream Pack 3:

I have sometimes had CM completely fail to read some car/track folders but restarting it has always corrected that.

Progress! By playing around with DLCS when setting tracks, I'm back to my original list of tracks, including the Nordschleif.

So I'll keep playing about with cars and countries and brands...

I may have solved this- the game is downloading something in Steam, and that something may be the DLC's. I'll let you know if this solves my problem.
Funny though- I could have sworn I'd never installed and DLC's, but then again, I did have access to the Toyota AE86 Tuned before, and then I didn't, so maybe I DID install all the DLC's at some point without realizing it. The whole thing has been a bit of a blur...

Success! Gentlemen, I owe you my sincere thanks.

I hadn't realized that when I bought the game on sale, with ALL the DLC's, that was what was installed, and what I was calling the "base game" or "original game". So when I went into the "vanilla launcher" and clicked on "Manage my 11 DLC's" and then chose Dream Pack 1 before I started the game, it loaded only that.

Between what you guys said, and my (eventual) sense that somehow the game wasn't seeing the DLC's, I tried clicking ALL of them, and then noticed that Steam was downloading something, which was in fact the DLC's.

I now have everything I had before. I had uninstalled and reinstalled the game, so I'm going to have to fine tune some settings again, but it's working fine for me now.

Again, thanks to you both. Race Department is a great community.
