F1 2012 I can't configure wheels or pedals for PC version

I had both 2010, and 11 on my 360, but I just got a reviewer's copy for my PC, and I'm having trouble configuring my wheel and pedals. I've been told not to use the setting for the Fanatec CSR wheel, as the game thinks it's a Microsoft wheel, so I go to the custom settings. I can program some buttons, but it seems the left paddle always thinks its a back button, and I have to go to my keyboard to enter and escape. Frustrating to say the least.

When you start the game use the keyboard all the way to the controls menu (the the nasty bug of previous games isn't there) and then set it up. That way the game uses the keyboard for the menu (and should show keyboard keys next to a command in menus) and the wheel for racing.
