I set up my wheel initially using the CSR Elite profile since the buttons are mostly the same. CM doesn't 'officially support' the Fanatec CSR, just the CSR Elite and the ClubSport v1 & v2.
Try changing the devicesetup_v2.xml file as I described for the wheel you are selecting in-game. I think this will resolve your over-powering issue

I do not notice any dead-zone, at least not like the original FFB file has. Perhaps Ive just gotten used to it?

I have all settings on defaults for advanced wheel setup. Try increasing in-game SAT to 107% to see if that helps (others have said it does)

Go to the History tab above for my mod and you can download the old versions

Thanks. Not sure if you answered this as well, but any way to reduce/remove the G27 gear rattling w/o affecting other settings? FFB seems fine using v4 except for the rattling (though in some sims they're just vibrations). :)

Looks like most settings in this thread have been tailored to either the TM or Logitech wheels so I wanted to share my settings that I came up with for my Fanatec GT3RSv2 which will work for the CSR as well.

Impact file V3.0

Wheel settings:

Sen 540
FF 100
Sho 000
dri 3
ABS off
Lin 000
dea 000
Spr off
dpr off

Settings in game:

Self Aligning Torque 120
Wheel Friction 55
Tire Friction 40
Suspension 60
Tire Slip 55
Collision 50
Soft Lock 100

As a kid that grew up in Mississippi, I learned to drive on gravel roads and red clay dirt roads and was power sliding long before I ever got my License and my first car was a 1980 Triumph TR7 convertible which is a short wheelbase non-power rack and pinion steer car. I yanked the anemic slant 2.0l 4cyl and replace it with a 350HO and 5speed from a Z28.

I still remember exactly how the steering felt in that car while powersliding on those Miss. back roads and my settings above are as close as I can get to that real life feel I remember.

These settings feel great! I think I lowered the wheel friction to 53% and SAT to 119% but overall, it feels much better. This mod has made me significantly faster on every stage and also much more consistent.

TemplarGFX, I have a question, to iBracing on page 4 in this thred you give this lines to get better sense of landing after jump.

<FFBSuspension wheelMask="1" device="wheel" scale="7.5" thresholdLow="0.9" thresholdHigh="8000.0" length="0.07" freq="64" sample0="ShortWave"/>
<FFBSuspension wheelMask="2" device="wheel" scale="6.0" thresholdLow="0.9" thresholdHigh="8000.0" length="0.07" freq="64" sample0="ShortWave"/>

I am using IMPACT V3.0 and thare are alredy this lines, but, insted of (thresholdLow="0.9")
thare is (thresholdLow="3.4") what is the best number to have to get the best feeling when landing after jump?
And i have tryed your 4.0 version but i think 3.0 is better, i am using Logitech G27.
Are you working on a 5.0 version? : )

For the feeling when landing on a jump. providing the value is around 1.0 for the low end it will activate when landing. The values are different between the versions because each version has a different set of suspension thresholds.

Version 5 will be coming out tonight hopefully!

What setting can I change to remove/reduce G27 rattling?

Suspension and Tyre Slip

Got the game and jumped straight into version 4 of this FFB mod; now I don't even want to know what the original is like :D

In terms of the experience this game really satisfied me, and the feedback I got at the wheel was awesome, especially on the gravel stages! Makes RBR feel like it has a smooth road surface at all times (or is my FFB in RBR all wrong?...)

Anyway, it feels strange to have to fight the wheel and not to be able to feel one can throw the cars in corners; but i guess that is a physics problem (and not a FFB problem). Or am I wrong?

One thing I feel is a bit odd is that you have less resistance when standing still on tarmac than gravel. In my opinion it should be the other way around.

TemplarGFX updated IMPACT Force Feedback with a new update entry:

SAT balancing, Suspension rebalance

The big update here is in regards to developments in the Self Aligning Torque and Tyre Friction parameters in game.

I had a complete mis-understanding of what these features did, and as a result it made things feel weird in those moments where you most want it to NOT feel weird!

Changes :
Self Aligning Torque strength increased
Static Wheel Friction increased
Tyre Friction properly configured to work with SAT (the big one)
Low end suspension feedback modified to be much more subtle, yet...

Thanks! Where can I find your latest Profiler and in-game FFB settings? Using 80% in Profiler and 100% in-game, and wheel's center is quite loose, so just verifying if any of your settings are updated. BTW, also what car/track can you recommend to test this with, so I can get a good feel of what you tested this most with. Cheers!

Hit up the Overview tab to see the new settings. Logitech at 100%

I use the following when testing :
Mini (FWD)- Sweet Lamb, Route De Turini
Audi Quattro (4WD) - Hammerstein, Farmakas
Escort Mk2 (RWD) - Sweet Lamb, Oberstein, Farmakas

Thanks. Only saw Profiler settings in Overview Tab, didn't see in-game FFB/Vibration settings. All 100% including soft lock?
