F1 2017 Installing two versions of F12017

Hi, I have installed the F12018 mod and customised also some helmets and pictures. However when I tried to play online with a friend I was banned for cheating. Is there a way to install both modded and vanilla version? tried to make a copy of the modded, added as a non steam game, download again the vanilla but it seems they are synced (when I tried to launch the modded one while downloading the vanilla it said it was going to download it for instance).

Any thoughts?

yes there are always 2 folders in steam F1 2017 original folder and the 2 (F1 2017 Mod folder) in it I copy the files from the original folder.
install my mods and say if I want to play with mods the f1 2017 mod folder in F1 2017 and the F1 original folder in (f1 2017 Ori).
