The Audi TT RS VLN will be one of the ten cars coming to Assetto Corsa next week as part of the recently announced 'Ready to Race' DLC pack for the game.

With a mix of some of the most impressive race machines spanning over a number of different generations, from right the way back to the 1990's with the Toyota Celica ST185 Turbo up to modern day times in the form of the impressive 2016 TT RS VLN, the 'Ready to Race' DLC package has been designed to include some of the most requested content for Assetto Corsa by the sim racing community.

Hot on the heals of the recent Audi R8 LMS reveal yesterday, Kunos have been at it again with some new images from the 2016 specification Audi TT RS VLN edition, making it's way to the simulation for the first time and adding yet another performance closed top GT car to the game. Famous in real life for its exploits on the legendary Nürburgring Nordschleife, the TT RS VLN is a potent weapon indeed.

According to Kunos, the "Audi TT RS (VLN) has been developed in response to the high demand from customers wishing to use the TT and other vehicles of the brand in motorsport.

The Audi TT RS (VLN) is based on a five-cylinder TFSI engine and features racing-specific new developments in the body, suspension and aerodynamics areas of the car"

The 'Ready to Race' DLC pack for Assetto Corsa will be available on Thursday 18th May for PC players of the title, with a console release expected "to follow shortly after".

Assetto Corsa is a racing simulation built for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The 'Ready to Race' DLC will release for PC on Thursday May 18th, with console versions to follow "in the near future".

The Assetto Corsa sub forum here at RaceDepartment is the place to go for Assetto Corsa news and community discussion. We have a whole bunch of mods to download, a specific area for modders to discuss their WIP projects and of course our epic Racing Club and League events. Head over and join in today.

Looking forward to trying the TT RS VLN? Which of the 'Ready to Race' DLC cars most excite you? What do you think would be a reasonable price for the DLC? Let us know in the comments section below!

All nice and stuff, but would be really freaking awesome to have a "Rain Masters DLC", with rain and night racing tossed in for good measure.
I love AC, but weather and a day\night cycle has been something that the community has been asking for a lot...for a long time. The game engine apparently can't do this and to be fair if it wasn't designed with that in mind from the beginning, odds are that developing it won't happen...which they unfortunately stated as such. Specifically around the night racing side of things being categorically stated as the "reason" they will not be doing Circuit de la Sarthe. I politely asked them to reconsider, as we don't need day\night transitions to enjoy a racetrack with all the great racing cars we have in game.

Stefano's reply was: "No point beating a dead horse really. I think our position on the matter is extremely clear."
Not something like, "True we have all the content now and that would make sense to reconsider or sorry but like Suzuka the licenses are too expensive and we just cannot do it..." Any response that at least explains in a civil manner this "extremely clear" position would be great. Not being able to do a race track because of day\night transitions "as the game engine can't do it" is just not (for me at least) a logically sound explanation. It feels more like "were not doing it because I'm the parent and I said so, no go to your room before you get what's coming to you..."

I'll buy the DLC as I always do, because it's been something I've been waiting for and its my sim of choice. AC has been great so far, their support is mostly very good and I will keep getting DLC packs for as long as the product is being developed\supported. That being said I have been pondering for quite some time now whether I want to support any future product that involves Stefano. His conduct regarding the community that supported his product is known not to be that great and sometimes downright insulting. The polls around "what would you like to have next" just feels like placebo more than really wanting to know about anything we want that does not involve additional cars. Given that licencing is a factor and tracks are more difficult to develop making a track pack DLC very unlikely, this has been something the community has been asking more of. Laguna Seca is coming which is awesome but it would be very nice to have other tracks that are in line with the great cars we have...

That being said, this pack looks really great.

Just WOW! I gave you an honest answer and this is the result? You did not get the answer you wanted and now you will play the butthurt "Stefano is a bad guy" card? Just cause you did not get the toy you asked for?

Well sadly I am not in a position to write exactly what I am thinking but if you try hard enough I am positive you'll be able to figure it out.

True, you gave me an honest answer, but its not about that, me not getting the answer\toy I wanted. The current mod track is a very good mod, but would have been amazing if we had it done by the guys who do it best. AKA Kunos. I'm also not trolling or bashing you as a person. I don't know you from a bar of soap, but it is known that for some reason you don't take kindly to being "criticized" or just being asked to clarify certain things.
But I stated my point of view which is just that. That point of view is based on a number of things I've seen on the forums (including your own posts, explosive reply to my previous post as well as interaction with other community members, some great, some less so). I am certainly not surprised that you are somewhat less than pleased with this post and you are entitled to that...if it is possible by the very least we can agree to disagree on and leave things at that.

Thank you for the new DLC pack which looks really great though.
