Is the timer supposed to start before I start the race? :(

Trying some Career mode. On that Giulietta checkpoint time attack thing on Magione. The timer starts when the game have loaded. I have to click the drive button quick as hell! But the timer is already at 4-5 seconds. Feels like it starts the timer before I even leave the loading screen. I have read that the career mode is somewhat broken - but THIS much?

It's impossible!

I know there was an issue where the 'restart race' menu option doesn't pause the timer properly, shouldn't happen just loading up the race the first time though.

That's actually kind of a benefit on time attacks because for the first two laps you want to reach the checkpoint with just a second or two left. Then on the rest of the laps give it the beans and you'll get gold every time.
