Is there awat to use G27 shifter with a G25?

I searched the net and found one post however there wasn't enough information and the wires were different. I don't want to have to buy that over priced converter and know my way around electronics.

Any help would be great.

That's the one I'd use if I wanted to do it.

I tried that however his explanation wasn't so clear when it comes to the G25 wheel and G27 shifter conversion. I moved the purple and red pin got power to the led but the buttons and shifter itself did not work.
