Since I started playing AC, I was unable to use the Lotus 49 because of the pain in my eyes when I saw the rims. With the love that I have for this car, it tasted so bad to me and I always said if nobody fixes it one day I will.

After starting to learn how to make mods for AC I dared with this task, I have also made a tutorial explaining it (Spanish voice with subtitles). I hope that if there is someone as hurt as I was with the original model, they will enjoy the modification that I have...

Ha! I've been having the same problem since I started playing AC as well, years ago, especially after seeing that even the first PCars had much better 3D model of the mighty 49. What a fantastic addon this is. It's going to bring Lotus to life once again.

Wider front rims

My last update of the Kunos lotus 49 wheels.

I have made the front rim wider so that it is flush with the tire, as it is by default in the rear and which also looks more similar to the real model and more beautiful.

Now it's nice to see the Lotus 49!

@Xucu Do you think you can try to create an optional version with less "mirror-polished" style rims? AC gfx engine doesn't cope well with reflections on such materials and, as you can see, at some sun and camera angles the rims look very dark.

It's a very good job because Kunos didn't do a good job on the rims but unfortunately I can't use the car because it doesn't display correctly compared to the original car on the right. In close-up it's good but as soon as it moves away the bodywork disappears as you can see...
