I see three people on one server. i'm assuming the icons are dedicated servers? I find it hard to believe there are no open servers. Obviously I've slept through something.

With the increasing dedicated server support, many people are now just firing up instances for the heck of it. Before, there weren't many dedicated servers running due to issues and what you saw in the online browser were peer-to-peer Steam games.

Also, keep in mind that the browser will only show you games you can join (i.e. ones not already in a race session). Those already in a race session will not be displayed.
