Recently after the MX5 Cup cars released (when RaceRoom had that bug that let you drive all content for free briefly) I tried out the MX5s at American circuits like Daytona, and was shocked to discover that although the AI could slipstream you and slingshot past you, you could not get any draft off them at all. Billy Strange then confirmed this problem (so it's not just me!) and showed off the issue in a video:
This is a very disappointing and frustrating bug.
