No Instant Replay

I have the R key programed for instant replay, but nothing happens when I hit it. Now I've just tested on online racing, but wheather on track parked or in the pits, I get no instant replay. I've looked for in manual and in forum here, but see no mention of this, please advise, thankyou.

As far as i know instant replays only work during offline races. Online races can be viewed back by the replayfiles your game creates. You can view them in the replay theatre
