oculus latest update, 10/09/18

todays update is preventing my GTX1080ti/CV1 to work.
This morning all was fine and this afternoon after the update nothing works.
anyone else is on the same boat?
Does someone has a solution?

Oculus will always want their program running I believe.

On Saturday my Oculus software decided to not boot up. A repair failed and it showed up as not installed so I deleted the Oculus software folder and installed from scratch. It remembered my account, where my games were stored and my devices such that it didn't require any setup after it installed.

SteamVR couldn't recognize the headset unless the Oculus software was running.

Over the last year I've seen some interesting behavior when exiting a game. I usually get Oculus Home but occasionally I might get SteamVR home when exiting a game.

Other than the Rift only titles, I have purchased almost all my games through Steam with the idea that Steam was more headset agnostic. That may change once they have their own headset out.
