F1 2011 Online Question

I've never had this happen. I just got F1 2011 yesterday. I downloaded the VIP pass and went to race online and it says "Your gamer profile does not have the correct permissions to access XBOX LIVE functionality."

All my other games work so my ports are open and I redownloaded the VIP pass.

Can anyone help?

You enter a code given to you with the game. You don't download anything.
You probably just downloaded the patch that came out after the game was released.
Did you buy the game new? If not then the original owner probably used the VIP code all ready.
