GT5 Paint Colour Selection

Am I missing something or is it like if you want a white car and your car is black for example you have to buy a white car to have 1x White Paint in your inventory. If that makes sense

I think so, I bought a second hand MX5 Miata as my first car and then won the go-kart, which came in black but that is a random colour, so I went to GT Auto and painted it in the classic red from my inventory.

NOTE: Painting the gokart was funny because the driver got sprayed with paint aswell lol
