Poor texture quality although it's set at full?

I have a problem with the skins of cars. All of them look really low resolution and pixelated even though I've set texture quality as Full. Why is this happening. I am running the game at DX9 at 1280x800 on my Asus A8Jr laptop. Is there a problem with the graphics setting causing low res textures to be loaded? The game doesn't seem to have nice graphics like screenshots at rfactorcentral.com? Why are the pictures so vibrant and high quality while I get some dull colour?

Have you put car detail set to high and so on ??

Is it with all mods or just one? And as Patrick said make sure car details are on Full.

On some mods you can download High Res Skins and Low Res.

Yup, could well of downloaded a low rez version of a mod.
