Welcome to RaceDepartment's Racing Club for Project CARS! Project CARS can be played on various platforms: PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and we'd like to facilitate and encourage our members to post challenging casual events for members by members.

Platform Prefixes
We now use Prefixes (which you will be required to select when creating a new race (thread).

Setting up a race
First of all start with a plan. Post a thread not at the final moment before you want to race but open it a couple of days in advance. Official RD events are always scheduled a week in advance for the highest change on success.

Secondly order your threads properly and try to make it as simple as possible. Not everybody wants to read a wall of text with requirements. Keep it simple, easy and friend.

Contents of a racing club thread

• Select a prefix for your platform of choice.
• Thread Title: Car Class @ Track - Date
• Thread Content: Use the template that will be posted soon.

Right, that bloody does it. I've been trying to rejoin for the past 15-20 minutes and it doesn't reconnect with anything whatsoever. No online sessions to be found at all and no success trying to find "RaceDepartment", either. Absolutely nothing. Feel free to hand my grid slot to someone else.

I have the bug that I need 30 start attempts because I get pushed back to windows and can´t alt tab back so missed the qualification.

Immediately at the start I got a drive through penalty for a jump start.. (which I didn't do) and after that pit I got a 2000 second (!!!) penalty for cutting track.. so I'm waiting for 30 minutes!! Damn game.

yes 64-bit

That's your problem then bud. I had issues with online 64 bit the other night and I've read earlier that 64 bit is causing issues online. Try online with normal and see how you get on.

Having crashed at Eau Rouge (never managed that before), I pitted for new fresh tyres, fixed all the damage. Put the softs on to make sure they didn't need to be overly hot. Came out and it was literally like driving on ice. Tyre temps were high 80's low 90's, indicator showed they were green... but it was just like ice. I realise the track would have been cooling, but that was just silly.

otherwise, it looks beautiful, when it works it drives beautiful. Hopefully all these little niggles will be fixed.

I noticed that the other day. If you come in for an unscheduled pit stop (one that you didnt pre setup) it says you the cut the track......and gives you that huge penalty ???

But anyway i tred for half hour to get in with no success but I did just find the server showing of course race in progress. Lets just call it growing pains.

Badly enough connection lost after my pitstop.

Also run the game at 64-Bits.

Well that was not how I wanted to remember my first Project Cars MP race going... Server issues, followed by a drive through penalty given to me before the green light went out. After serving said penalty, upon exiting the pits, I get slapped with an 800 second track cut penalty which leaves me stuck in 1st gear for the duration. Just to top it off after completing my 6/7th lap I get kicked from the server. At least things can only get better? Right?

Wow so many multiplayer bugs tonight Stressful night from an organisational point of view.

However. THE RACING IMMERSION WAS INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great driving experience with the car/track/light combination - looking forward to repeat this as soon as possible! Unfortunately my game froze around lap 15.

If we get proper dedicated servers (with API/plugin support) this could really be going somewhere
