F1 2013 Question about patches

I have 2013 dvd for PC and of course I have my Steam account.
So when there is a new patch , does Steam install it automatically on my game?
Because I think CM released a patch ( or not?) , but when I start the game and appears " looking for updating from steam" I have never seen any download. Maybe have I to download manually??

It is all automatic, unless you specifically tell Steam not to keep the game updated.
