I know it won't happen, but folks should leave some space between cars when driving through the walled twisty parts. I am not sure how much of it is due to the "work in progress" or the real track, but if one hits any of these corners slightly off-line or with the braking just a hair off a hair, one spins and the track will be blocked. This is not going to be the place where anyone can pass, so let's just be on our best behavior ...

Yeah run a few laps last night and have to say its a really nice track. There will be a big price to pay on friday if you run of track probably a DNF so its goin to be crucial not to overdrive this track. Lookin forward to this race and praying i dont run wide

I agree about this race being exempt from ranking because of the MANY ways to DNF with all the flaws. I agree with Michael, if we aren't patient through the twisty part there is going to be an ugly mess. If the guy in front of you isn't getting through as quick as you think you can, you need to be patient and wait for the straights.
Otherwise, what a wonderful track! :)

We will use a ROLLING START for BOTH RACES!

Rolling start. The pole sitter will bring the field around for ONE LAP to the start / finish line at 45MPH or 72 KPH. The polesitter may accelerate to 100KPH or 60 MPH on the long staright off the mountain ONLY to reduce the time to get to the release point. he will do this when the start lights go out and not before or we will have penalties for "false starting". YOU WILL follow the car in front of you and stay in EXACT order!do your best to maintain the spacing to the car in front of you as you had when you "dropped" into the field from the garage.Once the pole sitter has reached the Second set of start lights he will then accelerate at full speed and the race will be underway. YOU MAY NOT pass or jump out of line until you reach the START LIGHTS. This will ensure that nobody in the rear of the field will "jump" and gain an unfair advantage. I want everyone to get away cleanly and without incident to start the race. you may only pass before the START LIGHTS if there is an accident in front of you but this does not mean you are released to accelerate away and pass additional cars until the release point.

PATIENCE GENTLEMEN!!!!!!! I will review the race starts after the event. If I catch you breaking the start rules, you will be reported by me to the racing staff for an infraction review.

here is the "RELEASE POINT" for BAthurst below.

indeed gents this is going to be a real test of our ability to manage ourselves in the race.

Being extra "courteous" wil be paramount here to an enjoyable event. But keep in mind, we feel confident this track WILL be in the ATCC S3 line up in a different form than this one. The track wil still be the same in spirit so get used to this 'MONSTER".....you'll hve to confront it again with alot more on the line than ranking points.
