What a fantastic opening grand prix we've just had. There were rumours about previous season's champ Kederer not attending the grand prix. He, however, silenced everyone and took the win comfortably with only Lutz managing to stay pretty close to the German. It was a good day for Alpine with Ancevski in 4th place on his return to racing with Laad grabbing the final podium spot. There was a disappointing performance by Said, who got his strategy completely wrong and therefore had to incur a penalty, which Lintner benefited from. Former champ Utzer and greek ace Wolf struggled during the season opener.
