PETER DUIVELAAR WINS IN ENGLAND Top 10 is suddenly within touching distance
Peter Duiverlaar finaly got his much awaited first win of the season
Peter Duivelaar put on a great show at Silverstone and picked up his first win of the season, Ferrari's third. He was fast all race long and season 15 rookie and runner up David Carter, HRT, never got close enough to make a move for the win. Carter finished 2nd, which means he's now got 10 podium finishes in his first season.
3rd was captured by Erik Tveit for Red Bull Racing, Thomans Hackel in 4th for Honk Racing and rookie Jean-Francois Godin finished in 5th for Team Lotus. So once again we see a big mix of teams in the top positions. Already crowned champion James Chant finished 10th, which is his worst result of the season, since he only finished 8th, three times prior to this race.
Carter has secured 2nd place, Tveit only have to finish and score a point at Spa-Francorchamps to get 3rd place in the standings, but only if Godin scores pole position and a win. Godin himself needs to finish on the podium if Hackel takes the double at Spa in order to keep 4th position. Hackel needs a top 4 to stay 5th while Mike Bell and Sebastien Levret will battle it out for 6th all the way to the finish of the race. Danny Asbury, Georgios Davakos, Aidan Keeranen and Duivelaar just needs to be as fast a possible to gain as many positions as possible. Of the last 6 mentioned drivers, Bell is the only one who can't finish outside the top 10. Omer Said can still hope for 11th, but he will need the double for that to happen.
In the constructors championship Red Bull Racing are champions and HRT is 2nd. Honk Racing needs 10 points to secure 3rd, but that is only of the Ferrari drivers Asbury and Duivelaar finishes 1st and 2nd with one of them starting from the pole position. The tightest battle is the one for 5th between Williams and Team Lotus. With only 1 point separating them everyone will be watching the battle between Keranen and AlexanderMacDonald versus Godin. Williams surely have the upper hand by having two drivers but Godin will surely do all he can to make sure Team Lotus takes 5th.
The final race of the season will be a Feature Race at Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium. See you all there, and good luck with your battles in the standings.
