You can use a custom skin. The lag bug is since the new build and ISI is working on a fix.

Best thing is not to quit if you get some damage.

uh... you call a tow truck?

Just to clarify in case someone has misundestood, if you crash, hitting escape so you get thrown back to pit is not a issue, it's when you leave the server that it might turn belly up and start lagging ass on the ones still racing. So if you crash and can't continue please stay on the server till the race is over, then leave.

I will prob not join tonight, will try to finish up my DIY buttonbox instead.
