Assuming that's not rhetorical and that you've not looked it up already Kyle, it's a social networking tool where you "follow" people's Twitter feed like an RSS. The USP of it is that entries are limited to (I think) 140 characters so it's short and sweet.

Moreover, I don't think the delivery mechanism of the news matters too much, especially if it just displays here as a post.
