Senna and di Resta Confirmed to Partner Alonso at Daytona 24 Next Month

The all star United Autosports Daytona line-up has been confirmed, with Bruno Senna set to appear alongside fellow ex F1 driver Paul di Resta and superstar McLaren man Fernando Alonso at the great American race.

United Autosports made waves earlier in the year with confirmation that double Formula One World Champion and current McLaren lead driver Fernando Alonso would be contesting the Daytona 24 Hour this January, and now the British team have confirmed the full line up for the big American endurance round, sweeping up the talents of Williams 2018 Formula One seat hopeful Paul di Resta and newly crowned LMP2 World Endurance champion Bruno Senna to form the driving strength in their distinctive Ligier-Gibson JS P217s.

The Zak Brown owned team are looking to establish their victory credentials in next months Rolex 24 with the signing of something of a one off all star line up for the big race, and with the undoubted talent of Alonso now backed up by the in form Senna and the raw pace of endurance rookie di Resta, the British - American squad have every chance of taking the fight to the established teams this January 27/28.

Having had a short and somewhat unspectacular stint in Formula One for first HRT then the Lotus and Williams teams, Senna has quickly gone on to establish himself in Sportscar racing capped by a stellar 2017 driving for the Rebellion squad, ending a closely fought season with overall LMP2 honours after taking four victories from the nine round season.

Alonso will be joined by British rising star Lando Norris and Phil Hanson, with Senna teaming up with Williams man di Resta, former Manor F1 driver Will Owen and United Autosports regular Hugo de Sadeleer.
