Severe Damage

Hi all,

Recently purchased AMS2 and I have been having a blast, great simulator.

I've been having an issue with "Severe Damage".

In the options menu I have the damage set to "Performance Impacting" and Mechanical Failures "On".

Last night I was racing a 10 lap race at Brands Hatch using the Ultima, I was winning the race when on the final lap I was hit with the "Severe Damage" warning and had to retire as the car began to handle poorly. I had not crashed prior or done any damage to the car that I was aware of, anyway I thought nothing of it.

Tonight I ran the same race again and on lap 7 of 10 I get hit with the severe damage warning, however this time I did have a spin onto the grass without hitting anyone or anything on lap 2, again no damage that I was aware of.

When I pull into the pits the car gets fixed but I can't tell what damage was actually done to the car or which part was repaired.

I'm not having this problem on shorter 3-5 lap races, seems to be on 10+ lap races.

Anyone have any ideas of what I am doing wrong and why I keep damaging the car unknowingly?

Just happened again in another race on lap 10 of 10. This time it happened when I was braking heavy before a corner, maybe I'm braking too hard and causing damage to the brakes.

Turn damage off. AMS 2 is still Early Access and this is one system which is not yet complete.

Not early acces anymore and still the same issue with the superkart

In the options menu I have the damage set to "Performance Impacting" and Mechanical Failures "On".

I would try turning off Mechanical Failures. This should remove the random failures yet make you still maintain your own car safety with the possibility of damaging it. In league we always disable Mechanical Failures. This should be worth a try!
