Shifting Problem

Can someone help.

When I assign my shifter to shift up and down the game reconises it.

However when I go to change gear the animation and the sound happens but the actual gear change doesn't. Its annoying as I can only use my gated shifter. It doesn't work with either the Fanatec Shifter or the GT2 paddles.

Any help would be appriciated

Is the transmission set to automatic?

Have you disabled 'hold button for gear' (or whatever it's called) in the in-game controller options? You have to change that option every time you switch between paddles and h-box.

You don't have to change that everytime, just make different profiles.

no it isn't in auto, and it has a seperate profile, i'll try the hold button

I had a similar (or the same problem) with my g25, when i switched from seq/paddle to h-gated shifting everything is ok, but sometimes when i switched back from H-gated to seq/paddle i could see the animation for the shift, but no actual shifting action.
The only solution i have found, is to switch to seq/paddle mode in the controller option, exit the game and restart the game. After that seq/paddle mode works.
