This is my setup for Racing games:

Not build to be a simrig as you can tell - its just a regular table, but it works good for me and it is an allrounder. Middle monitor supports 144hz for when I'm playing FPS games.

Simracing gear is a RaceRoom RR1000 Gameseat with a new T500RS and the TH8A Shifter. Just replaced my old G27 with it yesterday
PC-Specs: i7-4790k, 16 GB RAM, 2x Gigabyte 780 Windforce x3 OC SLI + Nexus 7 with the HUD Dash App

Nice and sensible. A bit like mine. And perfectly suitable. Nice.

I feel some of the others that have built almost replica race car cockpits have taken the gaming hobby a little bit too far and waisted a lot of money but each to their own. Occulus Rift consumer version will make them old fashioned in the end. You won't need anything but the basic controls because everything you'll see will be in the eyeset.
