PC2 Steam download

Hi guys,
Not long for us to wait now, just wondering I have pre ordered deluxe edition on steam, will it install before the release date? Or I gotta get up early on the 22nd and start the install?

Last night I pre-loaded PC2, and it looked like it was a normal download, but when I checked the PC2 folder on my C partition just now, it's empty..WTF?

Same here. Guess it is stored somewhere else and will be installed in the PC2 folder when it gets unlocked.

yep it remains encrypted until its unlocked by steam,

i found mine in E:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\depotcache yours will be on the same drive you installed it to.

mine are a gig in size and there is plenty of them

That's weird. Though I never preloaded a game before on steam, so might be normal. Happens when I start Steam and some times after...

If you keep re-downloading the same amount when you have the full download its possible your download is becoming corrupted, you could try a different download location on steam, if that does not work run chkdsk on windows to make sure there is no harddrive or ssd drive issues.

Will wait and see what happens when it is unlocked and keep Steam in the offline-mode.

I just took a look, and it is indeed in C:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\depotcache on my computer. 35.9gb. Now I know where it is, it's about time that Steam unlocked it. Impatient? Na, not me...

Okay. That is weird. Preloaded the game. Should be out since 4 minutes, I know, sounds sick. But why does it need another hour....

Yes, i have an ssd so maybe thats why it is faster? Don´t think i ever preloaded a game so maybe that is a normal procedure.

Never seen this before, that a game after preloading still needs to unpack itself.

EDIT: Yes, could be. Assetto is occupying my SSD
