PC2 Stuttering issues on pc?

I have PC 2 on my pc. Im getting 60fps but occasionally there will be a stuttering issue where the screen almost pauses for a second then resumes. Is this common? I have tried a lot of tricks but haven't been able to solve it.

Does this happen when there are a lot of cars together on track? The only time I get stuttering is when racing online in that scenario. It happens rarely though.

What happens when you lower your graphics?

I think this is related to HDD activity. It disappeared when I moved the game to my SSD.

Hey guys, thanks for the replies. I have lowered my settings and still get it. I did find one trick talking about a fscap you can put in the properties of the game on steam which has made it a bit better. I may try moving it to the SSD and see if that works for me. Thanks again!

Is your cpu hitting 100% when it happens?

Hey, no my cpu is only being used about 45%.

I just watched a video about this type of studdering. If you have an nVidia graphics card, go into your video settings and cap the FPS to 60. I did this with 3 of my games that were chronic studderers and BAM! They don't studder anymore. If you don't have an nVidia card, there are other programs out there that allow you to cap FPS. The one in the video I watched was Riva something something.

It's most likely because you're CPU limited or out of RAM, try to see if it happens in time trial too, without AI it should be lighter on those.
