Surprisingly good fun...

After clocking up 720 hours I finally had a go at driving from the first 'chase cam'...and it was surprisingly good fun...it actually looked and felt pretty good on triple monitors and once I had gotten used to the different view my times were not really affected at all...I found it fun for the quick race where it all felt quite 'arcadey'.
Anyhows...I just thought I would share this side of Assetto I havent seen before.

What puts me off in this mode is the way the cam moves when you corner. Though the cars sound so much better from behind in most cases, so I do it from time to time

Yeah, the view does take a little getting used to...but you are right, the cars do sound excellent from behind
I just found the whole 'arcadey' feel to the quick racing splendid fun for a change. My first experience with decent driving games was in the arcades..(I remember the local bowling alley, many years ago,had 8 of the big 'sit-in' machines networked together and used to hold weekly competitions...no one had ever seen multiplayer much back then (except for LAN parties) and it was hugely succesful)
