The "What Are You Working On?" Thread

I'm a little "hm hm" about posting this cause it currently has no path to getting released on RD, but I did post some screenshots using it as an example so I suppose I should explain what the model is.

If the BMW was a c-model this is a b-model, slightly higher quality but still just exploring what different levels of effort get for me. I'm not doing physics for it, it just replaces a fugly model on another mod. Unless someone shows up to do stock jzx physics it won't get released at all.

I absolutely like Cresta/Chaser/Mark II, especially JZX90 and 100s.

hi.

I am new here and I guess I can say that this is what I am working on: https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/bugatti-eb110-gt.35178/

I am quite good at digging up all the details and can tinker with the .ini files, but would love to collaborate with someone who is actually good at car modelling. :inlove: I am well aware that the 3D model with textures is the hardest and the most important part.
Love this car! It was made by the best of the best in the industry back then. Never thought it would be so good to drive until I tried it in Horizon 4, even though FH4 has the SS version, if it is anywhere remotely accurate in physics, that car is just amazing. Really looking forward to more Bugatti in AC; maybe SS version later on too :D Also glad we are getting more of the marvelous 90's peak of the analog machines.

Adding to quick mods discussion from few posts back, I've been wondering how buying models from legit 3D sites would increase the amount of mods. I found Saab 9-3 Wagon mod and it seems good. Since these models arent cheap, it probably would not increase number of mods a lot. Also, earning/paying money for making mods (all or partially) would increase pace.

Maybe its just best as it is now, a decent number of enthusiastic people just making mods with passion and extremly useful knowledge sharing, with few mods that are being sold and some mods made thanks to money invested. Im definetly against ripping, especially lazy 'factory ripping', and I thank God its not allowed here.

Anyone else remember when somebody ripped models from AC and tried selling them through one of those "legit" sites? Some of them might be game-ready after all... like the WRX I bought 5 years ago that was taken from Forza.

There are no shortcuts. Get good. Put in the work.

There is a shortcut, with a large sum of money im sure you can convince a modder to create a complete mod scratch made. Ive not inquired in years but I expect £1000 minimum and based of the quality you and some of the other modders have produced here it worth every penny

This still happens. Was looking for a mk1 Escort model for a render a few days ago and found the Kunos model being sold for over €100 on a 3D site. Checked the guys profile and found pretty much every model was there from the game. Tried to report it but it was an unbelievably tricky process. The site definitely valued profit over legality.

I even don t know how those website are legal at the base , as they allow themself to model cars without license or rights agreement from the brands , and try make profit ... and I am not even talking about the modellers in those " factories " which are paid with peanuts probably !

Pb is car moddings, or those website are dealing so "little profit and money " compare to what manufacturers are earning with their images , that nobody cares
