Track file size

why is my track so big in size, in rfactor its 255mb and 120mb when zipped for uploading. its a short real life track 2,400meters i dont understand, i see other tracks in my folder and they are not this big. something im not doing?

Whatever you uploaded to RD, wasn`t your track lol

It`s only showing a 172byte file.

Textures are one of things that really ramp up the size of a track folder. View the folder in 'detail' settings, then organise by file size. That way you can see what files are the biggest and work on reducing them.

You have many duplicates of the same DDS file in your track folder.

I noticed BTB did this when i was making my track. I ended up using 3Dsimed to assign the objects one version of the DDS so i could delete the rest.

Probably not the easiest way to do it, but it worked.
