Two content manager questions

1) I like the "random car" hotkey. However, it also picks a random skin, and that pick is then made permanent. So it loses my personal skin selection. Can I make it stop do that?

2) where does it store which skin is selected for which car, anyway? If I knew I could back this up and restore it.
